Overview

The World Climate Foundation shares curated insights and updates on climate and biodiversity through its social media platforms, engaging a global audience and amplifying the voices of partner organizations.

My Role

I developed and executed the Foundation’s year-round social media content strategy, focusing on:

  • Promoting major summits like the World Climate Summit and World Biodiversity Summit.

  • Curating and presenting insights from climate and biodiversity experts.

  • Collaborating on cross-organization campaigns to expand reach and impact.

Key Focus

My primary goal was to simplify complex scientific concepts and financial news into accessible and engaging narratives. I utilized diverse content formats, including:

  • Reels and Carousel News Posts to break down information into digestible slides.

  • Collaborative Campaigns with partner organizations to broaden audience engagement.

  • Developed more in-depth content for newsletter by collaborating with subject matter experts, includingthe  in-house content team, external partners and previous speakers.

KPIs & Tools

  • KPIs: Growth in followers, engagement rates, and impressions.

  • Tools: LinkedIn Analytics, Meta Business Suite, MailChimp

  • Channels: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Newsletters

Results

  • Grew the Foundation’s digital audience from 70K to 120K followers and newsletter subscribers.

  • Increased social media impressions by 7x compared to previous periods.

  • Scaled the average engagement rates by 2-3 times, particularly for carousel posts and video content.
